He kōrero mōu - About you

We're seeking a Chartered Accountant with NZICA certification and at least five years of experience in a financial management position within a multidisciplinary environment. As a senior leader within the Finance team, you'll provide proactive and positive contributions to the Group by leading “best practice” transactional financial services for the organisation. Your ability to build a strong platform for development and coaching for your team members will be key to your success. 

You'll oversee and maintain the integrity of the Council financial systems, lead and champion financial business improvement initiatives, while managing the development of financial services policies and procedures. Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be key to succeed in this role.

You'll work in partnership with the Financial Controller to lead and champion the Council Treasury Function, taking care to liaise with the Treasury advisor to ensure careful management, planning and reporting is carried out for the Council.
