How to Pay Your Rates
Any amount of rates may be paid at any time, by direct debit (preferred option), internet banking, credit / debit card or POLi, cash, or automatic payment.
Online Payments
Pay your rates by direct debit
With the aim of making it easier to pay your property's rates account, Horowhenua District Council offers you the option to pay by direct debit. Payments can be set up fortnightly, monthly, or quarterly.
Download and complete the Direct Debit Authority Form available below and return to Horowhenua District Council, Private Bag 4002, Levin. Alternatively, you can email the completed form to rates@horowhenua.govt.nz.

Payments will be offset against oldest rates balances first.
Pay your water account by direct debit
With the aim of making it easier to pay your property's water account, we offer the option to pay by direct debit.
Download and complete the Direct Debit Authority Form below and return it to Horowhenua District Council, Private Bag 4002, Levin. Alternatively, you can email the completed form to waterbilling@horowhenua.govt.nz.

Water rates for metered water consumption are payable by the 25th of the month following the invoice date.
Credit Card, Debit Card or POLi
You can also pay your rates by Credit or Debit Card, or POLi, through our Rates Online Payment form.
