Water Conservation Levels in place

Level 1 Water Conservation is in place for Shannon & Tokomaru from Friday 24 January 2025 until further notice. Level 2 Water Conservation is in place for Levin and Ōhau from Thursday 23 January 2025 until further notice. Water Conservation Level 2 remains in place for Foxton and Foxton Beach until further notice.

Foxton Beach unsuitable for swimming - 20 February 2025

Horizons Regional Council monitor water quality for our district and have a 'Unsuitable for swimming' warning currently in place for Foxton Beach. The warning includes swimming, water activities and kai collection. Another sample will be taken at Foxton Beach today - keep an eye on the LAWA website (Land, Air, Water Aotearoa) for any updates.

The Horowhenua SPCA is located at 169 Mako Mako Road, Levin. Please phone (06) 368 6910 or email enquiries@horowhenuaspca.org.nz

Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm and Saturday to Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm, closed Public Holidays.
