Road Closure - Tyne Street, Levin, 28 November 2024 onwards

We will finalise work on the stormwater and sewerage pipes on Tyne Street now that groundwater levels have dropped enough to
allow us to do so. Tyne Street will be closed for 1-3 days and there will be some lane closures on Oxford Street, both during the day and at night.

Road Closure - Foxton Beach Road, Foxton, 18-29 November 2024

We will carry out rehabilitation work on Foxton Beach Road from 18-29 November 2024, weather permitting. The road will be closed from Palmer Road to Seabury Avenue, with access for residents only. There will be a detour down Palmer Road and Nash Parade.

Designation of Area for Building Emergency Management

On 20 May 2022, Horowhenua District Council applied to the Minister for Building and Construction to designate, under the Building Act 2004, an area of the Horowhenua District to manage buildings that have been affected by a tornado. This designation was approved on 20 May 2022.
