We Are Horowhenua - Creative placemaking
Published on July 07, 2023
Are you a Horowhenua resident aged between 10 and 25 years old? Have you ever wanted to be on a poster in town and have your own photoshoot?
Why not participate in our creative Levin Town Centre transformation placemaking project? To spark a passion for growth and reflect our new Horowhenua brand, we’re seeking Horowhenua rangatahi to represent our communities and upcoming youth, and be part of a photographic showcase across our town centre.
Printed and framed images of Horowhenua rangatahi will be placed in the town centre. The intention is to spark conversation, allowing people to slow down and connect with Horowhenua locals when visiting the town centre.
This creative placemaking project aims to combine objects, people and place and to create a sense of belonging to the Levin town centre.
We will release application forms in the coming weeks to engage rangatahi. Keep a watchful eye on our social media channels and website for more information and how to apply.
If you are interested in supporting this project, would like to talk about it or know of a local business within the Levin town centre that may be interested, please email levintowncentre@horowhenua.govt.nz
