Thank you for your patience while work continues on the Sewer Main Installation on Tararua Road (West) and Cambridge Street (South).
To complete the installation of the Sewer Main at the eastern end of Tararua Road, a 200m length of the eastbound lane (near the State Highway 57 (SH57)/Arapaepae Road South intersection) on Tararua Road will be temporally closed for up to two weeks from Wednesday 9 November, weather dependent.
During this time, road users will need to take an alternate route to access SH57/Arapaepae Road South. All westbound traffic from SH57/Arapaepae Road South will continue to have access to Tararua Road throughout this construction phase.
All local resident and business access will remain open. We recommend that eastbound traffic detour through Roe Street, turn left onto Enterprise Drive and return to get back to Cambridge Street. For heavy vehicles, use SH1 and head south to Kimberley Road to join SH57. A location map for this detour is shown below.
Please obey the temporary speed limits and fenced-off areas. Any disruptions will be kept to a minimum.
