Following the tornado which hit Levin at approximately 7.45am on Tuesday 8 April 2025, the focus remains on the ongoing needs of those affected. If you were impacted by this weather event, you may qualify for financial assistance from the Mayoral Relief Fund.

ANZAC Day commemorates those we’ve lost to war and honours returned servicemen and women.
Join us in remembering them during ANZAC ceremonies in Horowhenua. Lest we forget.
Assemble on the corner of Kent and Winchester Streets at 5.45am. The parade will head to the Cenotaph at 6am for a 6.15am service. At 6.45am the parade will return to Kent Street.In the event of bad weather, the Dawn Service will be moved to the Levin RSA on Devon Street.
Assembles on Kent Street, past Thompson House Gardens at 10am. The parade will move off to the Cenotaph at 10.10am for a 10.15am service.In the event of bad weather, the Levin Civic Ceremony will take place inside Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō.

In event of bad weather, commemorations will move indoors. Some locations will change as indicated. An announcement will be made on our Facebook page on ANZAC Day morning should we need to move to wet weather venues.
