He angitūtanga - The opportunity 

Are you passionate about empowering young people and making a difference in your community? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Youth Programme Assistant to help inspire and support the next generation! You will work mostly in the Youth Space of Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō although there will be times that you will be required to travel to other community spaces for programmes and events. 

In this role, you’ll work alongside a dynamic team to plan and deliver engaging activities, workshops, and events for young people. You’ll be a positive role model, helping to create a fun, inclusive, and safe environment where youth can explore their potential, build confidence, and form meaningful connections. 

Be part of a cohesive team who plan and execute youth programmes and events engaging with participants ensuring they feel welcomed and supported.

This is a part time 20 hour per week role.

He kōrero mōu - About you 

Are you a good leader and communicator who can relate well to a diverse range of people and age groups? 

You will be an energetic and enthusiastic Youth Programme Assistant who will bring their great organisation and planning skills to support the team in delivering a fun and engaging programme that is supportive to all rangatahi. 

You will add to the experience of our youth space by building positive relationships through the promotion of outstanding service and promoting Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō and The Youth Space resources and services.  Everyone who enters will feel welcomed by your professional and friendly demeanor and appreciate the support and guidance you provide them in their use of our various resources.  

As the successful candidate you will bring a positive and can do attitude where you will be happy to lend a hand across Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō wider facility.
