We’re seeking a dedicated Trade Waste Officer to join our Community Infrastructure Group and play a crucial role in managing compliance for Trade waste discharges. Your work will ensure that discharges from trade waste premises to the wastewater system meet trade waste and wastewater bylaw requirements as well as current environmental standards. As part of your role, you’ll be expected to analyse trade waste quality data, and communicate non-compliances to trade waste customers. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for improving environmental practices, this opportunity offers a rewarding challenge to make a meaningful impact on our community’s sustainability.
He kōrero mōu - About you
As the ideal candidate for the Trade Waste Officer position, you will have some operational industry experience and an understanding of wastewater processes and treatment systems. Excellent customer service and written communication skills are essential. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 and ideally other various council and industry software systems. Collaboration, a keen interest in learning, quick adaptation to new technologies, and the ability to apply technical knowledge to practical solutions are key for success in this role.
