Are you ready to elevate your career and make a real impact at Council! We're on the lookout for a dynamic Safety and Wellbeing Co-ordinator to join our powerhouse Business Performance Team within our Organisation Performance Group. This role is dynamic and involves supporting the administration of critical safety functions across all Council operations, health and safety system administration, contractor and new employee inductions, as well as fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing to support the continuous improvements planned for all kaimahi.

Working closely with the organisation to provide employees, Elected Members and contractors with timely advice on best practice in safety and wellbeing, identifying and assessing risks, and prioritising work flows.

Your confidence and determination will drive proactive initiatives, reflecting a mindset geared towards business improvement. Additionally, you should be responsive and influential, fostering robust relationships across the organisation while ensuring continuous development and refinement of safety and wellbeing processes and systems.

The Safety and Wellbeing team provide the safety and wellness management system and associated risk management, assurance, education, and training. The purpose of the Safety and Wellness Coordinator is to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the Safety and Wellness team's operations by providing essential business support, process and assisting in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
