Horowhenua District Council is working hard to strategically create opportunities to transform the district and enable development that's going to positively contribute to the district. Our RMA Monitoring and Compliance Officer will play a key role in creating that positive legacy, by monitoring compliance of developments with Resource Consent conditions within the Horowhenua District.

He kōrero mōu - About you

We're looking for someone with a good understanding of the Resource Management Act 1991 and a working knowledge of local government compliance requirements, standards, monitoring and regulations. A tertiary qualification in Resource Management or Planning and/or experience in a Compliance role would be advantageous.  

It's essential that our RMA Monitoring and Compliance Officer possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills with superb attention to detail, is outcome orientated and operates with a high level of energy, responsiveness, integrity and friendly professionalism. As part of the team you'll get to make a tangible difference to the productivity of our business and community every day.

Sound knowledge of the Local Government Act, procedures, protocol and policies would be advantageous.

Current NZ Drivers licence is essential.
