Horowhenua District Council is entering an exciting phase as we consolidate Local Water services under Council oversight. We're actively seeking a dedicated Local Waters Operations Manager to join our Infrastructure Group. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with the Group Manager of Community Infrastructure and Commercial Operations Manager to spearhead strategic initiatives in operations, project management, and asset management.

Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping policy and ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality, cost-effective Three Waters services. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional eager to make a substantial impact in a dynamic and evolving environment.

He kōrero mōu - About you

We're people focused so the ideal candidate will have a growth mindset and be comfortable working in a collaborative environment and will be actively seeking continuous improvement. You'll be a driven individual with an outcome focused approach who takes a big-picture, long-term view when planning and anticipating potential impacts.

Your background will include significant experience within the Three Waters Environment. Preferably, the foundation of your experience would have been gained from a tertiary qualification in engineering or proven equivalent industry experience.

You'll need a solid grasp of Project Management, Operations experience and the ability to develop, deliver and lead an effective Local Waters management strategy and policy to meet community needs and expectations taking into account current and future infrastructure demands.
