He angitūtanga - The opportunity

We are looking for a Fitness Instructor to join our fast paced team within Horowhenua Aquatics Centre. This role will work across all three of our facilities, Levin, Foxton and Shannon which means flexibility will be required from the successful candidate to move between all 3 of these locations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, leading motivating and high-energy fitness classes to our community. These classes will cover a wide range of fitness levels in and out of the water and attendees of the class will have different levels of experience. Your watchful eye and ability to adapt on the spot will make sure everyone is safe, moving correctly and most importantly, enjoying themselves!

He kōrero mōu - About you

You’ll be self-motivated and proactive, have great time management, and buckets of enthusiasm for engaging and helping our participants. Ideally, you will have some experience in-group fitness or hold a sport/leisure/fitness related qualification and a first aid certificate however this isn’t essential – we will provide all the training you need to succeed.

This is a part time permanent role with the availability to teach between 9am – 8pm Monday to Fridays and 8am – 12pm on Saturday’s.
