Destination Management Lead

Applications closing on August 02, 2024, 05:00 PM

Tā tātou atarua – Our vision

Enabling what matters.

He angitūtanga - The opportunity

Horowhenua District Council are looking for a MarComms rockstar to join their team and grow Horowhenua NZ as a destination.

In October 2022 we launched a refreshed brand and new destination website. But we're far from finished. We're looking for a leader who will be just as happy to get stuck into the CMS of the website, as they will be developing key strategic documents.

The Destination Management Lead will be pivotal in evolving the brand and delivering strategic outcomes. The role will be instrumental in developing a destination management framework, identifying tourism infrastructure gaps and working to close these. You will seek out funding opportunities and build great relationships with Iwi partners, tourism operators, local businesses and stakeholders, seeking out opportunities to grow sector capacity and capability.

It's a dream role, in a dream team and in a dream location. Come join us.
