Alcohol Bylaw 2022

Horowhenua District Council's Alcohol Bylaw was adopted by Council on 10 August 2022 and came into effect from 11 August 2022.

Purpose of the Bylaw

The main purpose of this Bylaw is to enhance safety and public enjoyment of public places in a reasonable manner by providing for liquor control in specified areas to reduce the incidence of alcohol related offences. Maps of the public places contained in the Alcohol Bylaw 2022 are included in the appendix of the bylaw.
