Water Conservation Levels in place

Level 1 Water Conservation is in place for Shannon & Tokomaru from Friday 24 January 2025 until further notice. Level 2 Water Conservation is in place for Levin and Ōhau from Thursday 23 January 2025 until further notice. Water Conservation Level 2 remains in place for Foxton and Foxton Beach until further notice.

Foxton Beach unsuitable for swimming - 20 February 2025

Horizons Regional Council monitor water quality for our district and have a 'Unsuitable for swimming' warning currently in place for Foxton Beach. The warning includes swimming, water activities and kai collection. Another sample will be taken at Foxton Beach today - keep an eye on the LAWA website (Land, Air, Water Aotearoa) for any updates.

Nola Simpson Rose Garden

A popular place for people to sit and enjoy the surroundings in the shade flanked by the scented rose gardens. The gardens are situated beside the Historic Levin Courthouse which is now a cafe.
