Water Conservation Levels in place

Level 1 Water Conservation is in place for Shannon & Tokomaru from Friday 24 January 2025 until further notice. Level 2 Water Conservation is in place for Levin and Ōhau from Thursday 23 January 2025 until further notice. Water Conservation Level 2 remains in place for Foxton and Foxton Beach until further notice.

Foxton Beach unsuitable for swimming - 20 February 2025

Horizons Regional Council monitor water quality for our district and have a 'Unsuitable for swimming' warning currently in place for Foxton Beach. The warning includes swimming, water activities and kai collection. Another sample will be taken at Foxton Beach today - keep an eye on the LAWA website (Land, Air, Water Aotearoa) for any updates.

A dog-friendly, grassed “pocket park” situated in the North Eastern area of Levin, near Fairfield School, Iona Park is surrounded by residential housing. A good spot for the kids to kick a ball around.
