Companion Card
The Horowhenua Companion Card is an initiative aimed at providing equitable ticketing expenses for individuals with life-long impairments who may require additional attendant companion support to engage in everyday activities at our partnering venues and activities.
Attendant Companion Support may be provided by a friend, family member, or paid carer, offering significant assistance in mobility, communication, self-care, or learning.
Participating businesses allow Companion Card holders free or discounted entry into events and attractions, breaking down financial barriers some people living with disabilities face.
Companion Card holders show their card at participating venues when buying their ticket or paying an entry fee. They'll receive a ticket for their companion at no extra charge, or at a discounted rate.
